Island Tycoon is a free browser-based idle game, published by Kalermo Topi Aaro, a sole trader registered in Finland (Y-tunnus 3171387-1). There are no purchases of any kind, in-app or otherwise. Every gem, building and upgrade is earned by playing. The game is provided free of charge and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time, though there is no plan to do so.
No account is required to play. Your progress is saved in your own browser by default, and stays there unless you clear it yourself. Signing in with a Google account is entirely optional and only used to carry your save between devices. Exactly what is stored, where, and how you can delete it is covered in full in the privacy policy, which takes precedence over this section on any data question.
The public leaderboard is opt-in and meant to reflect real play. Don't use modified clients, exploits, bugs, or automated tools beyond the game's own built-in Auto-Tapper to inflate a score, and don't attempt to access, disrupt, or overload the service in ways it isn't meant to be used. A leaderboard entry that looks manipulated may be removed without notice.
Any ads in the game are optional and rewarded. You choose to watch one for a bonus, and skipping one never blocks play. Details on how advertising data is handled are in the privacy policy.
The game's code, design, and original artwork belong to the developer. Some visual and audio assets are used under permissive open licenses (Kenney.nl, CC0), with full credit given voluntarily even though the license doesn't require it. You're welcome to play the game, record it, stream it, and write about it; you may not redistribute the game itself or claim it as your own work.
The game is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While care is taken to keep it working and your save data intact, no guarantee is made that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available indefinitely, and browser storage can in rare cases be cleared by the browser itself, outside anyone's control.
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the game, including loss of save data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under Finnish or EU consumer law.
These terms may be updated as the game changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised; continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
